So, like the geek I am, I went ahead and clicked yes when iTunes opened and let me know there was an update and did I want to download it? So I downloaded the iTunes/Quicktime update.
And then I couldn’t open my iTunes. I got this error: “iTunes cannot open because it has detected an error with your audio configuration” or something very similar.
So I went to the iTunes discussion forums, to issues with iTunes, searched Apple with the exact wording of my error message, and found this advice.
Basically I uninstalled Quicktime and reinstalled it as a standalone. Et voila! I have my iTunes back.
Man, I missed my AFR podcasts!
